Do I need a car in Vadsø?

Short answer

Not in town: Vadsø town centre is small and easy to get around on foot or by bike, and the town walk goes on foot all the way out to Vadsøya. If you are going on to Ekkerøy, Vestre Jakobselv or the rest of Varanger, your own car or a hire car is most practical. See Getting here.
